To make the meal planning simpler, I have added a grocery list for simple Indian meal plan ideas in this meal plan. You can buy groceries during the weekend and keep them ready over the weekend. So this week's Indian dinner menu plan has got you covered for next 5 dinners for the weekdays.

All that you are required to do is just take the pre-prepped food out, mix, cook and there is dinner on the table in 20 minutes -30 Minutes.

GROCERY LIST FOR WEEKLY INDIAN MEAL PLAN - WEEK 4

MEAL PREPARATION TO DO ON WEEKEND

  • Boil potato,
  • Boil eggs

  • Make makhani gravy
  • knead dough for Chapati/Paratha
  • Make ginger garlic paste

A new week comes with so many things to do that I try to figure out the menu plan over the weekend and be tension free from that side of my daily chores. I am really overwhelmed with your responses to our last weekly menu plans, thank you, ladies, it is wonderful to know that I am of any help.

This week too like any other week I have tried to incorporate vegetables, pulses, proteins, and carbs in each of my dinner meals to provide proper nutrition to my family. Let's begin.

Monday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Punjabi Aloo Pyaz Sabzi, langar wali dal, roti, salad

A hearty wholesome and healthy meal for everyone. These types of meals are perfect for a winter dinner.

Meal Prep: I chop vegetables beforehand during the weekend and keep them is airtight containers in the fridge.

Tuesday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Multani chole, Steamed Rice( Chawal), plain curd, Green salad

On Tuesday, it can be this chickpeas curry you can with rice or roti. Multani choley is definitely on the card this week. Infused with aromatic and rich spices, and big on flavours.

Meal Prep: Soak chana/Chickpeas the previous night and set the curd/yogurt. I prefer to soak and boil chickpeas during the weekend. Or you can use rinsed canned chickpeas.

Wednesday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Matar mushroom, dal fry, roti or Veggie Fried Rice 

A balanced meal of Dal fry, Matar mushroom and veggie fried rice, if you have leftover rice, is comforting as well as a nourishing dinner.

Meal Prep: If you have prepared Indian bhuna masala and Tomato Onion masala over the weekend. This meal comes together in 30-40 minutes.

Thursday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Soya curry, Aloo Palak Khatti Sabzi, Beetroot Raita, roti.

Soya Keema curry made from soya granules is super easy to cook and taste amazing. Soya granules are rich in protein and you need minimal ingredients and effort. Pair it with any raita to make a complete meal.

Meal Prep: Keep cleaned and chopped Spinach in the fridge. Alternatively, you can use frozen spinach to make aloo palak. If you have Tomato Onion masala it becomes easier to cook soya keema quickly.

Friday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Kala chana pulao, papad ki sabzi,  Spinach raita

We prefer to have some snacks and appetisers with a few drinks before dinner. One-pot dinners make so much sense on Friday because these are easy to cook and there is not much hassle in serving and cleaning later.

Saturday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Butter Paneer, Laccha paratha, sirka pyaz

This week I am going to make Butter Paneer and Laccha paratha for a proper dhaba style meal.

Meal Prep: You can make this makhani gravy paste over the weekend. If you want you can make butter chicken using this same makhani gravy.

Sunday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Egg Biryani, Cucumber Raita, and Bhuna Papad

Take it easy with another one-pot meal or you can simply order a homestyle takeout and Plan another Indian meal plan for the next week.
